Wanda Mooney was born and raised in Charlemont, MA. Her parents, Larry and Connie Burrington, owned and operated a successful motel and restaurant business on the Mohawk Trail which they sold in 1978. Growing up in a family owned business help Wanda develop a strong work ethic and the importance of putting your customers first. Along with her two sisters and brother she participated in the daily chores of a service environment helping to insure that everything was in place for repeated local and distant patrons.

Wanda was fortunate to have horses and enjoyed participating in the weekly competitions bringing home many championship awards. At the age of 10 she earned the Reserve Championship award for the New England region on behalf of the New England Pinto Horse Association for competing in “Gymkhana” events. At this early age, Wanda combined strong work ethic with perseverance which resulted in success.

In 1985, Wanda married John Mooney, who is now a successful building contractor. In 1984, they built their own log home in Heath, Ma on land that was in Wanda’s family for many generations. It began as a rugged hillside parcel and through many years of dedication and hard work it evolved into a picturesque countryside setting. Currently Wanda and John are in the process of renovating their home. John recently designed and completed her beautiful home office that is fully equipped with all the technology needed to provide the best service for her clients. In addition to working in her home, Wanda enjoys gardening, decorating and most of all spending time with her beloved dogs, Abe and Max.

In 1993 Wanda started her career in real estate. Her understanding of the importance of home ownership along with her positive and enthusiastic personality makes Wanda a natural at selling real estate. Both buyers and sellers alike can depend on her solid base of knowledge and enjoy her uplifting sense of humor and supportive presence.
