The Massachusetts Association of Realtors reported that pendings sales for single family homes and condominiums are up for the month October!
The way folks celebrate a World Series Championship here in Massachusetts, one could reasonably assume that homes put under agreement could possibly go down in October. However, despite all that revelry and that "little" federal government shutdown, pending sales went up for the 8th straight month and the 28th month out of the last 29.
Here are the highlights:
· Single-family pending home sales were up 17.1% compared to October 2012
· Single-family month-to-month pending home sales were up 11.5% from September 2013
· Condo pending home sales were up 22% compared to October 2012
· Condo pending month-to-month home sales were up 7.0% from September 2013
