As an avid gardener myself, I am so excited to highlight Shelburne Farm & Garden for this week’s Feature Friday. Shelburne Farm & Garden has been a staple in the community for over 20 years, helping locals to find the right products and advice for their gardens.
Formerly owned by Pat Schmidt, the torch has been passed on to Maria Topitzer of Lyonsville Farm and Justin Lively of Heathan Carpentry. The pair have done an excellent job of maintaining the spirit of the business that Pat lovingly grew, while continuing to develop it to fit the needs of the customers.
Right now, the Shelburne Farm & Garden greenhouse is overflowing with beautiful plants. Visit them on the Mohawk Trail, east of the village of Shelburne Falls and you’ll find annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetable starts, house plants, tropical plants, and aquatic plants. They also carry useful items like gardening tools, pots, seeds, kindling, and even some local handmade crafts to decorate.
Check out their website for their contact information and be sure to follow their Facebook page to find more about what’s on offer, as well as helpful gardening tips.
