The Franklin County Fair is on in September!

For the 174th time, the Franklin County Fair returns to the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenfield, Massachusetts. All weekend long, Thursday, September 7th through Sunday, September 10th, 2023, the fairgrounds will be a lively place, filled with people, vendors, exhibitors, performers, rides, and more.

Hosted by the Franklin County Agricultural Society, the Franklin County Fair has been traditionally an agricultural fair. When the fair started in 1848, its main purpose was agricultural education. Today, that theme still holds true. Exhibitors can show their animals, including cattle, sheep, chickens, rabbits, horses, and oxen. Fairgoers can also tour the Fish & Wildlife Museum and Baby Barnyard.

Crafts also play a major role in fair activities. Adults can display their handmade works in the Roundhouse. Children of all ages can do the same in the separate Youth Hall.

A plethora of more modern fair activities add to the fun of the Franklin County Fair. The ColemFranklin County Fair poster Greenfield Massachusettsan Brothers Midway offers family fun and thrills. On Saturday and Sunday, catch the excitements of the Demolition Derby. There will also be entertainment and performances throughout the weekend.
