Seeking an autumn-themed adventure for the weekend? Make your way to Bernardston and experience the delightful Scarecrow in the Park event organized by the Bernardston Kiwanis Club! From Friday, October 20th, through Sunday, October 22nd, 2023, immerse yourself in this yearly tradition at Cushman Park. The park comes alive with artists, crafters, live music, delicious food options, and of course, an array of handcrafted scarecrows, along with many more exciting activities.
Head under the Big Tent on Friday, October 20th, from 6:00 to 9:00 for an exciting fundraiser hosted by the Bernardston Firefighters Association. For just $20, you'll gain entry to a fun evening featuring live music by Chick'n'Wire, along with a collector's pint glass, your first beer pour, and a scrumptious meal. Contact a Bernardston Firefighter to secure your tickets and support this fantastic cause.
Come back Saturday for a blast, with music, family fun, and face painting. Don't miss the noon tractor parade and the Canine Police Officers Demonstration at 3 pm. The park will be filled with scarecrows to enjoy, while live bands play under The Big Tent from 10 to 4. For food, dine on hot eats like burgers, hotdogs, sweet potatoes, and fried dough with maple cream.
Sunday will be the last day of the event, with family games and activities kicking off at 10 am until 2 pm. Shriner Clowns will be face painting and balloon twisting from 11 am to 3 pm. And of course, more yummy food and local coffee!
Discover cool finds at the Bernardston Senior Center's tag sale on Saturday, 8 am to 1 pm, or snag raffle tickets Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm. Your money will help the senior center raise funds.
