Moonlight Magic is a traditional event known across the region, which takes place annually in the quintessential village of Shelburne Falls. Every year on Black Friday, the town stays open later, vendors line the streets, and people come from near and far to welcome in the holiday season. This year is expected to be especially festive with many events planned throughout the village, including live music, lots of special treats, sales, a parade, and more.
A community-oriented event, Moonlight Magic encourages attendees to support local businesses for their holiday shopping, as well as help fundraise for local causes. You’ll find locally handmade crafts and unique gifts for your loved ones or yourself at the many shops, galleries, and vendor booths.
Stop by the Shelburne Falls Area Women’s Club Cookie Sale at the Visitor Information Centre and help raise money for scholarship funds for local students. Find tons of good books to read during winter at the Friends of the Arms Library Book Sale and simply pay what you want.
In honor of Moonlight Magic, the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum will offer rides on the “Holiday Trolley.” Folks are also welcome to warm up with a hot drink and cookies and participate in ornament-making.
As always, there will be many performances and a parade to spectate during Moonlight Magic. Santa will lead the Parade of Lights, which will include stilt walkers, drummers, and more.
Check out all the events planned on the Moonlight Magic Facebook page. Don’t miss out on the festivities Friday, November 24th from 4 to 9 pm in the Village of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Moonlight Magic is organized by West County Arts and Culture.
