The last movie showing of the 2023-2024 season at Pothole Pictures is this Friday and Saturday night! Finishing off the season in style, they will be showing Mary Poppins, arguably one of the greatest children’s films ever. The film won five Oscars, a Golden Globe, and two Grammys. The film debuted in 1964, and continues to be a household classic today.
Come out to Memorial Hall in Shelburne Falls February 16th or 17th for the showing, with a musical performance to kick off the evening at 7 pm. On Friday, The Give will perform and on Saturday, Leatherleaf.
Pothole Pictures is an all-volunteer-run, non-profit community house which has been showing a variety of foreign, classic, and independent films since 1995. The films are shown in Memorial Hall’s historic theater, a landmark in the Village of Shelburne Falls.
Memorial Hall also hosts the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD Series. Their next showing, La Forza del Destino with Giuseppe Verdi, will be held Saturday, March 9, at 12:55 pm. View more details here.
