As winter rolls on, you might be feeling some cabin fever. Getting outside during winter and embracing the snow and the cold is a healthy and fun way to enjoy the winter months and cherish the stunning wintry scenery around Western Massachusetts.
For those over 60 years old who love to get outside and snowshoe or hike during winter, there’s a wonderful program through All Out Adventures called Snowshoeing/Hiking for Seniors. The program runs on Wednesdays (except February 28) from 10 am to 11:45 am or 12:15 pm to 2 pm and the location rotates between the DAR State Forest in Goshen, Sweet Alice Brook in Amherst, and Mt. Tom State Reservation in Holyoke.
All Out Adventures is a local non-profit organization which provides opportunities to recreate outdoors for people of all abilities. Their Snowshoeing/Hiking for Seniors program is just one of many awesome programs they coordinate. Check out the Program Schedule for other upcoming winter events such as kicksledding, skating, and cross country skiing. For more information go to alloutadventures.org.
