Laurie Goddard is a contemporary artist whose works have been displayed in galleries and institutions around the region and the world. We in Franklin County are lucky that we can enjoy Goddard’s art close to home at her new gallery in Shelburne Falls, where the former Molly Cantor Pottery was.
Watermark Gallery, Goddard’s personal gallery and retail space, showcases her amazing mixed media paintings. You can also discover other artists and their mediums there, too, including ceramics by Jen Morier, photography by Andrew Sovjani, and ceramic sculpture by Cynthia Consentino.
Having spent some time in the Middle East, specifically Jordan, Morocco, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, Goddard notes that her art is influenced by her experiences in these places.
Watermark Gallery at 20 Bridge Street in Shelburne Falls is open 11-5 Friday - Monday, but as her website notes, “please allow for creative interpretation of time.”
