Mohawk Trail Concerts 2024 Summer Chamber Music Series in Charlemont, Mass

mohawk trail concertsThe Mohawk Trail Concerts, a beloved summer music series in Western Massachusetts, is gearing up for another exciting season in 2024. This long-running series brings world-class chamber music to the charming Charlemont Federated Church, offering a diverse range of performances in an intimate setting.

 

For the upcoming 2024 season, music lovers can look forward to the following performances:

The Adaskin String Trio with Sally Pinkas, piano - Saturday, June 29, 5 pm: This concert will include Beethoven's Piano Quartet in D Major, Ingrid Stolzel's "Fides, Spes," and Faure's Piano Quartet in G minor.

Mark Kelso Piano - Thursday, July 4, 5 pm: A unique concert of spontaneous improvisation and songs created specifically for the audience. Kelso's versatile style spans jazz, classical, and Indian raga.

The Telegraph String Quartet - Saturday, July 6, 5 pm: This ensemble will perform Beethoven's String Quartet in B-flat Major, Kenji Bunch's String Quartet No. 2, and Dvoák's String Quartet No. 14 in A-flat.

Edward Arron (cello) and Jeewon Park (piano) - Saturday, July 13, 5 pm: This duo will present a program featuring Schumann's Fantasy Pieces, Op. 73, Manuel de Falla's Suite Popular Española, and Rachmaninoff's Sonata in G minor, Op. 19.

Maria Ferrante (Soprano), Masako Yanagita (Violin), and Jerry Noble (Piano) - Saturday, July 20, 5 pm: This ensemble will perform works by Ravel, Ippolitov-Ivanov, and John Alden Carpenter.

 

All concerts take place at the Charlemont Federated Church, 175 Main St. (Rte 2), Charlemont, with a suggested donation of $25. The July 4th concert is free.

The Mohawk Trail Concerts have been a cultural cornerstone of the region for over five decades, bringing together music enthusiasts and talented performers in the picturesque setting of the Berkshires. This summer festival continues to uphold its tradition of presenting high-quality chamber music while fostering a sense of community and appreciation for the arts.
