The corn maze at Hicks Family Farm is designed with fun and challenge in mind, making it suitable for all ages. Alongside the maze, visitors can indulge in hayrides, pumpkin picking, and enjoy seasonal treats from the food stand. 

While you’re there, you can also do the scavenger hunt, play mini golf, and interact with the various farm animals. For those seeking thrills, the haunted maze opens on select weekends in October, featuring nighttime hours from 7 PM to 9 PM. This event is recommended for ages 12 and up.

Mike’s Maze

Just a short drive away in Sunderland, Mike’s Maze has gained a reputation for its artistic and engaging corn mazes. Founded nearly twenty years ago by farmer Mike Wissemann and artist Will Sillin, the maze has evolved into an award-winning attraction known for its elaborate designs and creative themes. Each year, the maze features a new design, with past themes ranging from beloved stories to pop culture references.

The current creative direction is led by Mike’s son, David Wissemann, and his wife, Jess Marsh Wissemann, who have continued the legacy of crafting immersive experiences. Their maze designs not only challenge visitors but also incorporate fun games and activities that enhance the overall experience. Mike’s Maze is particularly famous for its viral designs, such as the “Alice in Sunderland” maze, which captivated audiences online. 

In addition to the maze, guests can enjoy a delightful petting zoo and a unique Camera Obscura. For those seeking more excitement, the farm offers wagon rides and the chance to fire potato cannons, providing fun for all ages. To keep everyone energized, the Corn Cafe serves a variety of food and drink options, ensuring that visitors can enjoy a meal during their visit. 

Mike’s Maze also hosts special events. During the last weekend of the season, Mike's Maze hosts special events, including a "Dog Walker's Weekend", allowing guests to bring their furry friends along for the fun.

Mike's Maze in Sunderland is open from September 6 to November 3, 2024, with hours on Fridays from 11 AM to 5 PM and weekends from 9 AM to 5 PM.
