Get ready to pedal for a purpose! The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is gearing up for its 14th annual Will Bike 4 Food (WB4F) event, set to take place on Sunday, September 22, 2024. This exciting cycling fundraiser brings together riders of all ages and skill levels to support the fight against hunger in our community.
Why Participate?
WB4F is more than just a bike ride - it's a chance to make a real difference. By participating, you'll be raising funds and awareness for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, helping to provide meals to those in need. The event's goal of $250,000 would translate to an incredible 750,000 meals for the community.
Ride Options
Cyclists of all ages and skill levels will meet up at the Lions Club Pavilion, (15 Billings Way, Hatfield) to get ready to depart at their designated race time. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a casual rider, there's a route for you:
- 100 Mile Century Ride
- 50 Mile Half Century Ride
- 25 Mile Quarter Century Ride
- 12 Mile Family Fun Ride
- 4 Mile Family Fun Ride
Can't make it on the day? No problem! You can participate virtually anytime during September, which is Hunger Action Month.
What's Included?
All registered participants, including virtual riders, receive a free WB4F t-shirt. Those who raise $1000 or more will earn a special Will Bike 4 Food cycling jersey. On the day of the event, you'll find water and snack stops along your route, as well as porta-potties for your convenience.
The After Party
Once you've completed your ride, it's time to celebrate! The WB4F After Party is a great opportunity to relax and refuel. Day-of riders receive a voucher for a meal and beverage. It's the perfect way to cap off your cycling adventure and connect with fellow participants.
Volunteer
If you don’t want to bike, but still want to be involved, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities to help ensure this event runs smoothly.
