Holiday Magic Awaits in Franklin County This Weekend!

It’s a Wonderful Life Screening

Dates: Friday & Saturday, December 13-14
Location: Shelburne Falls Memorial Hall

Get ready to feel all the warm fuzzies as It’s a Wonderful Life graces the big screen at Memorial Hall, part of Pothole Pictures' 2024/2025 winter film lineup.. This beloved holiday classic, directed by Frank Capra, reminds us all that no man is a failure who has friends!

Arrive early at 7 PM to enjoy live holiday music before the movie starts at 7:30 PM. At just $6 for adults and $4 for kids under 12 (cash only), this timeless tale is an affordable outing for the whole family. 

 

Franklin County Festival of the Trees

Dates: Friday, December 13, 5 to 8 PM and Saturday, December 14, 2 to 4 PM and 5 to 8 PM. 
Location: The Roundhouse, Franklin County Fairgrounds, Greenfield

Step into a winter wonderland at the Festival of the Trees! Admire dozens of dazzlingly decorated trees donated by local businesses and community members. Each tree is a masterpiece, and you might even win one to take home—just enter the raffle! The winners will be picked on December 15. 

Proceeds benefit local nonprofits, making this event a heartwarming way to give back while getting into the holiday spirit. Entry is free, but donations for raffle tickets are encouraged. 

 

Light Up the Fairgrounds

Dates: Friday & Saturday, December 13-14, 5 to 8 PM
Location: Franklin County Fairgrounds, Greenfield

Buckle up for a magical drive-through experience at the Fairgrounds! With twinkling lights, festive displays, and a chance to vote for your favorites, this event is a must for the whole family.

Gates open from 5 PM to 8 PM, and a minimum $5 donation per carload helps support fantastic local organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Franklin County Agricultural Society. So crank up the holiday tunes, grab some hot cocoa to-go, and soak in the sparkle!

These events are the perfect way to celebrate the season while supporting local causes. So gather your loved ones, don your coziest sweaters, and head out for a weekend of holiday magic in Franklin County.
