One of Franklin County’s greatest strengths is its spirit of community, and few organizations embody that better than the Franklin County Community Meals Program (FCCMP). In this edition of Notice Non-Profits, we’re highlighting FCCMP’s essential work—offering hot meals, pantry staples, and compassion to anyone facing food insecurity in our region. Whether you’re familiar with their efforts or learning about them for the first time, FCCMP’s impact on our neighbors is worth a closer look.
Who They Are
The team at FCCMP believes that everyone deserves access to nourishing food, dignity, and community. Their mission is simple but powerful: to work in partnership with the community to alleviate hunger in Franklin County.
They imagine a future where no one in our region has to wonder where their next meal is coming from—and they’re working every day to make that future a reality.
At their core, FCCMP is built on compassion, collaboration, and respect for every person who walks through their doors.
What They Do
FCCMP does much more than just serve meals—they create connection and comfort during tough times. Here's how they show up for our community:
Meal Sites:
-
Turners Falls – Mondays, 4–5:30pm at Our Lady of Peace Church, 7th Street, Turners Falls (hot meals to-go)
-
Greenfield – Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 4:45–5:45pm at Second Congregational Church (dine-in or drive-up, to-go meals)
-
Orange – Thursdays, 4:30-5:15 pm at the Orange United Methodist Church, ready-made meals that you can heat up at home to-go.
-

Orange Food Pantry:
-

FCCMP welcomes everyone—adults, kids, families, seniors. All of their programs are free and open to the public. If you need food, they’re here for you.
A Look Back – and Forward
FCCMP has deep roots in our county. What started as a grassroots effort to serve hot meals has grown into a vital network of support, thanks to the dedication of volunteers and donors.
During the height of the pandemic, FCCMP didn't miss a beat. They adapted quickly to keep people fed—shifting to drive-up meal service while keeping their core values intact. That’s the kind of resilience and care we should all be proud of.
