New England’s Longest Running Triathlon Returns August 3, 2025
The Greenfield Triathlon is back for its 41st year—and it’s still going strong. Held in the heart of Franklin County, this longstanding race has become a summer tradition in Western Massachusetts. On Sunday, August 3, 2025, triathletes of all levels will hit the water, roads, and trails for one of the most scenic and community-driven races in the region.
Whether you're aiming for a personal best or just looking for a rewarding challenge, this is a race worth showing up for.
Why Greenfield?
Set against the backdrop of Greenfield’s rivers, forests, and rolling backroads, the course offers both beauty and variety. Athletes start with a swim in the Green River, followed by a bike ride through open farmland and across the historic Eunice Williams Covered Bridge. The run brings participants back along shaded riverside roads with plenty of room for cheering spectators.
The Greenfield Triathlon stands out for its small-town feel, welcoming environment, and well-organized race day experience.
