On Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Historic Buckland Common will once again come alive as the community gathers for the annual Summer Day on the Buckland Common. This beloved event celebrates the people, traditions, and history that make Buckland such a special place while offering a full day of entertainment, hands-on activities, local artisans, and family-friendly fun.
Held at the Historic Buckland Common, 17 Upper Street in Buckland Center, Summer Day welcomes residents and visitors alike to slow down, reconnect with neighbors, and enjoy the simple pleasures of a New England summer. Admission is free, making it an accessible event for families and visitors of all ages.

A Celebration of Community
The Summer Day on the Buckland Common exists to bring families, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate the unique spirit of the community and honor the history that has shaped Buckland. Throughout the day, guests can explore local arts, history, engineering, music, food, and interactive activities while enjoying the welcoming atmosphere of the historic village center.

Free parking will be available by following event signs to the designated parking lot on Charlemont Road or by parking along Upper Street near the library.
Visitors should note that Upper Street will be closed between Charlemont Road and Cross Street, and Cross Street will also be closed during the event. Planning ahead and following posted parking and traffic signs will help ensure a smooth arrival.
