Experience the Treetops at Berkshire East's Aerial Adventure Park in Charlemont, MA

For families, friends, and groups looking to add a little excitement to their next outdoor adventure, Berkshire East Mountain Resort's Aerial Adventure Park in Charlemont, Massachusetts, offers an unforgettable way to challenge both body and mind. Suspended among a beautiful pine grove, this self-guided aerial course combines fun, adventure, and confidence-building in a safe, professionally supervised environment.

An Adventure Above the Forest Floor

The Aerial Adventure Park is much more than a ropes course. Participants move through a series of elevated wooden platforms connected by rope cargo nets, swinging bridges, ladders, Tarzan swings, Indiana Jones-style bridges, short zip lines, and TrueBlue free-fall elements. Every obstacle presents a new challenge while offering spectacular views from the treetops.

Guests can choose between two courses, each designed with similar elements but varying in difficulty. After receiving equipment and a comprehensive safety briefing from Berkshire East's trained staff, participants navigate the course at their own pace, deciding how much they want to challenge themselves. While the experience is self-guided, staff members remain nearby throughout the course, ready to assist whenever needed.

A Challenge for Families, Friends, and Groups

One of the park's biggest strengths is its broad appeal. Whether celebrating a birthday, organizing a family reunion, planning a scout outing, hosting a corporate team-building event, or simply enjoying a weekend adventure, the Aerial Adventure Park creates opportunities for participants to work through challenges together while making lasting memories.

Moving from platform to platform encourages problem-solving, communication, and confidence. For many visitors, the most rewarding moments come from stepping outside their comfort zone and discovering they are capable of more than they expected.

As many first-time visitors discover, there's something uniquely satisfying about carefully crossing a swaying bridge, balancing across cargo nets, and finishing with a zip line through the trees. It's equal parts physical activity, mental focus, and outdoor fun.

Adventure for Younger Explorers

Families with younger children don't have to miss out. Berkshire East also offers the Tree House Trail, a netted aerial playground designed for children ages 3 and older.

Unlike the main aerial courses, the Tree House Trail does not require harnesses. Young adventurers explore enclosed netted platforms, Burma bridges, tunnels, and a small zip line while remaining safely contained within the netted structure. Trained staff supervise the area, allowing children to explore independently while parents watch from nearby.

The Tree House Trail pairs perfectly with other family-friendly attractions at Berkshire East, including the Thunderbolt Mountain Coaster and seasonal Deerfield River rafting trips, making it easy to build a full day of outdoor adventure.
