Gypsy Apple Cantina Brings Fresh Mexican-Inspired Flavors to Downtown Shelburne Falls

Downtown Shelburne Falls has welcomed back a familiar face. After the closing of Gypsy Apple Bistro this past April, Chef Michaelangelo Wescott has returned with a new concept that's already earning enthusiastic reviews from locals and visitors alike.

Now operating as Gypsy Apple Cantina, the restaurant has transformed its cozy Bridge Street location into a casual spot serving fresh, flavorful Mexican-inspired cuisine that's perfect for a summer lunch or early dinner.

A New Chapter for a Familiar Favorite

For many in the community, Chef Michaelangelo has long been known for his thoughtful approach to food and warm hospitality. Rather than stepping away after the Bistro's closure, he has reimagined the space with a menu focused on approachable, made-to-order favorites that are both satisfying and affordable.

The result is Gypsy Apple Cantina—a welcoming neighborhood eatery where fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and friendly service remain at the heart of the experience.

A Menu Full of Flavor

The Cantina's menu offers a variety of Mexican-inspired classics, with options for both meat lovers and vegetarians.

Guests can enjoy tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and burritos filled with their choice of proteins. Add sides like rice and beans, guacamole, black beans, refried beans, rice, cheese, sour cream, or pickled jalapeños to round out your meal. There also gluten-free options available.

A Perfect Stop While Exploring Shelburne Falls

Located at 65 Bridge Street, Gypsy Apple Cantina is just steps from many of Shelburne Falls' most popular attractions. Whether you're spending the day exploring downtown shops, visiting the Bridge of Flowers, checking out the Glacial Potholes, or simply enjoying a stroll through the village, it's an easy and delicious place to stop for lunch or an early dinner.

The relaxed atmosphere makes it equally inviting for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with family and friends.
